A day at the theatre for Mitchelton

YMCA Mitchelton OSHC braved the crazy mid-December weather to watch a theatre performance in Bowen Hills.  The children and staff travelled primarily by train but had a short walk as well and managed to get to the theatre dry.  The show started with a continuous hum of slurping as all of the children enjoyed their slushies, the groups favourite part of the day.  At the end of the performance the children all got to meet the cast of the show with many even getting to sit on Santa’s lap.  Unfortunately as the group left the theatre the rain had started up again and everyone had to walk back through constant, drizzly weather.  Children and staff arrived back at YMCA Mitchelton OSHC safe though and only a little wet.  Even with the bad weather a fantastic day was still had by all.

The children also got to design their own wrapping paper.  We think there were some very lucky families this Christmas receiving such personal and unique gifts.
