The YMCA Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services offer Before School, After School and Vacation Care for children attending primary school, including the Preparatory year. In order to continue providing such excellent services, we are now seeking two responsible, enthusiastic, reliable and friendly Part Time Assistant Coordinators for our amazing OSHC services in Upper Mount Gravatt and Aspley East. Both of these part time positions will be employed for 34.5 hours per week during term periods and 38 hours per week during vacation care periods.
As a YMCA OSHC Assistant Coordinator you will:
• Assist the Coordinator in:
o Ensuring compliance with child care legislation and YMCA policies;
o Planning, preparing, implementing and evaluation of programming;
o Marketing, staff training, staff management and administrative requirements;
o Liaising and communicating effectively with parents and school representatives;
• In the absence of the Coordinator, assume responsibility for all Coordinator duties;

To be successful in this exciting opportunity you will need to have or be willing to obtain:
• Minimum qualifications of Certificate III in Children’s Services (or similar) or willingness to complete same within 12 months of appointment;
• At least two years’ experience in the care and education of children – experience working in an OSHC environment will be highly regarded;
• Excellent customer service;
• Sound computer skills;
• First Aid and CPR certification;
• Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card).
